About FunctionBay and Multibody Simulation
Our Headquarter named FunctionBay Inc., was founded in the year 2000 in Seoul, which is in the south of Korea. The founder´s are Professor Bae and Professor Choi.
It took them 10 years to develop the unique technology, on which RecurDyn is based – the so-called fully Recursive Dynamics. Their business idea was to unite MultiBody Dynamic Simulation, Finite Elements and Controls in one unique solver and surface (GUI) to differ from existing MultiBody Dynamic Software or Finite Elements Method tools. With success! This technology is called FEMBS - created out of the words Finite Elemente Method and MultiBody Dynamics Simulation.
In 2003 FunctionBay GmbH was established in Munich, with the task to distribute exclusively RecurDyn in the whole of Europe. But FunctionBay GmbH is not only selling the RecurDyn software and technology, we also deliver engineering services and have already achieved a very high acknowledged reputation.
FunctionBay provides state of the art CAE software in the field of automotive, power plant, marine, robotic, heavy industry, machine tool, army and military, the mechanical and electronic prototyp developement and simulation of future devices. Engineers are also able to customize and automate their virutal prototyping development.
FuctionBay’s solution supports integrated multi-discipline dynamics based on Multi Flexible Body Dynamics. The solution includes a control (CoLink design), a CFD analysis solver, application toolkits, a function of user customization (ProcessNet), a tool of design optimization (AutoDesign) and helps to innovate the product process, save time, reduce the cost associated with designing and simulating manufactured products.
FunctionBay succeeded in the field of mechanical analysis as a very well known Asia based CAE company with it´s headquarter in Seoul. Around the globe are many distributions and CAE departments supporting and selling state of the art RecurDyn products and services. Offices in the USA, Japan, Germany, China, the distributor network in Taiwan, India, Australia, Italy, Swiss, France, etc. form RecurDyn to be one of the leading CAE software products in the world.
